His wife owns the local bridal shop Lund and Taylor Bridal Gallerie In an addition to the bridal business they decided to add the limousines as a service to customers. Richard says, "Getting into the business was not as easy as I figured it would be. Insurance, regulations, taxes, fees, competition. I looked for a local association for help and assistance. This is where I met Martin Mann. He was looking for people interested in getting the WLA started again. Our first meeting was in the Spring of 2004, and we have been meeting monthly since."
Even though He is new to the limousine industry he has been involved with business all his life. Says Richard, "I graduated college with a degree in Sales and Marketing, working thru college in the entertainment and service industry. A friend of mine had a Limousine business and it always appealed to me. After college I went to work for Merrill Manufacturing Corporation in Merrill, WI [a privately held family business for 87 years] where I am the Director of Sales and Marketing. We also have a business in Elgin, IL called Convenience Concepts, Inc."
He continues, "In my spare time I like to vacation to our cabin in Canada. Spend time in the Caribbean and Las Vegas, and spend time with my family...boating, skiing, woodworking and remodeling houses."

Background: Martin first started in printing, with photography as a hobby on the weekends. He also worked for a corporate office, in-house printing department for 10 years doing everything from running the presses, production, planning and printing sales support material, inventory control, conference photos and speaking with the sales team, until a company-wide downsize.
Martin operated a photography business for many years, gradually adding more services with the plan to eventually have a Wedding Consulting business, handling all aspects of the wedding. Meeting with his partner in order to bring together this business and adding a Limousine service with a fleet of 10 limos, plus a number of brokers working with them, would fulfill the overall wedding plan — a total of 17 years experience including 5 years working with the planning and day to day operation of the Limousine service in Canada.
In 1998 after Martin's wife accepted a position with Saint Josephs Hospital in Marshfield, he decided to start the same business here in the USA, namely Wedding Source USA Inc., with a separate division of Last Minute Limo USA Inc., in 2004 becoming MACCI's Entrepreneur of the year. Says Martin, "After starting the business here I looked into a state association and found that their was one, but it was dissolved. I then started looking into getting the Wisconsin Limousine Association Inc. going and I feel strongly that it will help the limousine industry here in Wisconsin." Martin also has a very good team of professionals on the board of WLA.

The old WLA died due to lack of interest, Don't let this happen to the new WLA."
